Scott is a Native of Chicago Illinois. Scott grew up around Marketing and Show Business. His father Ed was a Television Producer and pioneer of Long Form Television in the 70’s, working with Arthur Godfrey and Carol Channing to Produce some of the first Thirty minute Infomercials, commonly referred to as “Variety Entertainment” programs, before Direct Response TV and Infomercials were popular. Scott grew up on the Production set and quickly became interested in how his Father Ed used the TV programs he produced as a Marketing tool to sell the likes of Bank Financial Services (Arthur Godfrey Hour) and Retail Jewelers (Carol Channing- “Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend”).
After hanging out around the Production& Syndication side of the Television Business, Scott attended Northern Illinois University where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing.
Upon graduating college in 1981, Scott started his own Media Management Services company, creating and managing TV and Radio campaigns for Direct Response Marketers.
Within a few years Scott had developed one of the First DRTV Lead Tracking software programs called AMStrac, which is still used today to create“ Accountability” in Broadcast Advertising through a detailed Cost Per Lead Tracking system. An authority on Lead Generation Marketing, Scott has worked with National DRTV and Radio Clients such as Toshiba, Sony Business Systems, Nationwide Auto Insurance, Thorne/EMI/HBO Video, Hertz Used Car Sales, National Land Partners and Sears Home Improvement.
At the same time, throughout the decade of the 90’s, Scott was developing Marketing campaigns in the Sports & Entertainment field, This included working with the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball. Scott was a founding partner of Sports Radio Nightly, an All night Sports Radio format, and was responsible for developing the strategic marketing for the radio format. At the same time, working out of his Chicago based Media & Marketing headquarters in Chicago, Scott was managing media campaigns for Country Music legends like Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers and Clint Black, while selling through a number of Retail promotions for the Music Labels to the Big Boxes like Best Buy, Wal Mart and Target.
In addition, Scott became actively involved in Retail and Franchise Marketing in the 1990’s handling National Retail Franchise accounts such asPlay It Again Sports, Once Upon a Child, USA Baby and many others, including in depth automotive industry work with Mercedes Benz & GM
-Chevy Dealer groups. Scott developed Co-operative Advertising & Marketing program for these Dealer Groups and Franchise Systems and spent a decade on the Advertising Speakers Circuit as a sought after expert in Retail Advertising.
In the late 90’s, after managing Hundreds ofMillions of Dollars in Broadcast Media across every Major Broadcast TV Network and Group Owned Radio station, Scott realized that Traditional Media (including Broadcast Media) was going to be challenged by the Internet Technology. Scott broke into Internet Marketing In 2000 with the formation of e-Solutions Marketing, and received a Million Dollars in Public Funding to build one of the first Online Data Collection Portals – called “GetaFreeGift.com”. Under Scott’s leadership, e-solutions marketing pioneered methods of Online data collection and Permission based
e mail marketing, working with companies like Sharper Image, Burger King, Sports Illustrated, Petco, Photoworks/Shutterfly, Cars.com and various other Click and Brick Marketers, bringing synergy to their Retail and Online Data collection and Database management.This experience led to the formation of Click and Brick Marketing, LLC, an Integrated Online and Mobile Marketing firm with Proprietary Tracking Technology designed to measure Online & Mobile campaign ROI.
Scott continued his track record of innovation In 2008, when to fill a need for a National Franchise client USA Baby, Scott founded the now popular Mom web community e-mom rewards, e mom rewards currently has over 100,000 members nationwide. In addition, shortly thereafter, Scott was re-united with old friend and business associate, Radio Executive Mike MazurskyTogether they created Broadcast Media Rewards, to bring the same Technology Enabled Online and Mobile Marketing assets to the Broadcast Industry, serving small TV and Radio stations that do not have the resources to create the digital and mobile media assets in-house.
Scott lives in San Diego California with his wife Averie and four year old daughter Skylar.
